 Sadly, the editions of Top of the Pops from the 9th and 16th of July will not be broadcast on BBC4 due to an issue with the chart rundowns on those two shows. So a huge thanks goes to Anonymous for making them both available at SwissTransfer:

    1. Gouryella - Gouryella (which appeared in the top 20 on both editions) had a racist caricature in the music video.

    The Beautiful South had a new entry and peak position of No.46 with The Table, and would be their last new single until late 2000.

    16-7-99
    Great to have Jayne Middlemiss back again, as I must admit I was getting withdrawal symptoms recently with her taking a break in favour of Gail Porter.

    The new Ricky Martin No.1 in the TOTP Studio was just superb with the steamy sexy couples dancing on the podiums to help bolster the single further.

    Orbital had a new entry and peak position this week at No.32 with Nothing Left, but this was far from the case, as their next single was to be in 2000, albeit nothing further in terms of Top 20 singles.
