(8) EAGLE-EYE CHERRY – Falling In Love Again
With his second and final top ten hit and it was at its peak.
(24) FAITH EVANS – Love Like This
Here tonight with her second of four top 40 hits, but this one got no higher.
(2) E-17 – Each Time
Performing their twelfth and final top ten hit and it was at its peak.
(5) QUEEN/WYCLEF JEAN & PRAS MICHEL – Another One Bites The Dust (video)
Got no higher.
(1) CHER – Believe (and credits)
Third of seven weeks at number one.

Queen/Wyclef jean & Pras Michel - Good Lord, this was very unusual, and interesting how they kept the Queen in the Artist title, as this was not just a sampling, but a sort of addition of lyrics to the original, with Queen taking the main title. Video was quite good, but they cut out too early as the tricked taxi passenger was locked up.
ReplyDeleteWhy had East 17 now become E-17?
Interesting that next week BBC4 will have three consecutive 1998 shows to make up for only one this week, so no complaints here.

DeleteIn case you were wondering about the 09/12/1982 episode - here it is:
ReplyDeletehttps://ok.ru/video/9957420960259
The snooker coverage cancelled the new showing of this on Friday evening in which had Culture Club would've been edited out of - when previously shown at the end of 2016, here is the uncut version any way in case you were wondering.
Any reason why Culture Club was edited out?
DeleteIt was in the edited 2016 repeat at 7.30pm on the 30th of December 2016 and then the unedited late-night version soon followed later.
DeleteHad a good view of the whole Queen/Wyclef Jean video, and the whole video turns out to be a dream by the sitting security guard outside the Queen waxworks in the wax museum. In the dream story the wax statue of Freddie Mercury gets stolen, and the security guard is eventually a hero recovering the Freddie statue back to the museum after a battle in the dock with the thieves.
ReplyDeleteThe last part of the battle in the dock reminded me of the closing battle in a similar looking dock in the Laurel & Hardy 1936 film called Our Relations, so worth a watch of both the Queen/Wyclef pop video and the L&H film. Brilliant stuff!
