    1. Interesting introduction to the Ruby Flipper routine to The Champs Boys with Tubular Bells, where we were now well into the hot summer of 1976, as Blackburn mentions that the sun seems to be around for a long time, and this in only the second week of July, and the heatwave would go on for two further months.

Anyway, I loved the Ruby Flipper performance in that Blue Peter garden, as it was not only representative of the hot summer of '76, but also the hypnotic and romantic music of the time.

Can someone put up the 01-07-76 show which was skipped in between the two 1976 episodes shown tonight on BBC4?

    2. 01-07-1976 was wiped, only "Love Stealer" by Hello from this show survived.

    3. What a pity, seems that there were unusually three Ruby Flipper routines on the show, and would have been a great treat for us, especially how they would have danced to The Shangri-La's Leader Of The Pack.

  3. EMINEM "My Name Is" Great track when it first came out and still sound fresh 27 years later. Can anyone please upload Top of the Pops 20/12/1996 as it wasn't re-shown because Shaun Ryder did an impression of a now notorious DJ.
