ReplyDelete1-8-97
ReplyDeleteA new entrY for the Mamas & Papas at No.9 with California Dreaming, and no room for their video to played ,despite a Top 10 placing was a pity, but TOTP by 1997 had a mind of its own with no guarantee of anything outside the No.1 getting played.
New entries at peak of No.42 for John Lydon with Sun, and No.53 for Prefab sprout with Electric Guitars were the only other highlights of this week's chart, but none of these were to feature on TOTP.
Thanks again Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteReally sad to see all these episodes get cancelled.
And Puffy still has to release a bunch of other tracks over the next few years (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Combs_discography#As_lead_artist).
There will be tons of episodes to be skipped.
I don't mind for Puffy himself, but it's sad for all the other artists performing. Really sad.
He had no further number ones though, so hopefully his other appearances on the show can be edited out.
