  1. Michael Jackson's new video on the show was a throwback to his late 70s disco sound with The Jacksons before going solo. Not sure about you guys, but I really connected well with this song and video and reminded me of his earlier chart career.

I must admit that in 1997 I didn't really like the Hanson No.1, but now 28 years later I'm just loving it. I didn't now that the three brothers on this performance were only 16, 14 and 11, and could have been another Bee Gees. Funnily enough The Bee Gees were in the same chart with a new entry at No.14 with I Could Not Love You More.

A new entry peaking at No.43 this week was Cathy Dennis with her new single When Dreams Turn To Dust. Turned out to be her final single, and no TOTP appearance to show for it.

    1. I was the same about MmmBop at the time, but like you Dory I now think it's terrific!

  2. The top 20 rundown track was Porn Kings with C'Mon (Amour) at number 17 (this was also the first to use the 20-2 chart rundown with chart narration commentary right up until the 21st of November 2003), despite the new design was introduced the week before with the top ten.

Also other presenters get to do it, Clive Warren and then Mark Goodier from August onwards (right up until November 2002).
