  1. Chart rundown - new entry at No.17 and at peak for Jean Michel Jarre with Oxygene 8. I remember Jarre in 1977 with Oxygene IV as his first single which went to No.4, so 20 years later he comes up with Oxygene 8 as a sort of 20-year anniversary of IV if it was.

Gina G - love the studio performance as new entry at No.6, and so fresh, fun, sexy, and much needed good vibes for this show, and seemed to be the only dance floor single on the whole show.

Playout single - a bit surprised to see No Doubt's video on the playout when going down to No.4 this week, considering they already had their stint at No.1 before being dislodged by The Spice Girls, so not sure on the purpose of this at the expense of playing a single on the up which could have done with much needed promotion.

A couple of interesting singles peaking this week outside the Top 40 from 80s legends were ABC at No.57 with Stranger Things, and Yazz at No.61 with Never Can Say Goodbye, both groups now at their final single.

  2. Kylie intruducing her ex's (Michael Hutchence) band INXS feeled strange. Especially since he would kill himself only a few months later. RIP.
Not my favourite Kylie look either.
