This edition of Top of the Pops from 20th of December 1996 will not be shown on BBC4 because the presenter impersonates Jimmy Savile during the show. So thank you once again to Anonymous for making it available here at WeTransfer.

ReplyDeleteThanks Rob!!!
DeleteNot sure why Jimmy Durante was in the Video Stir section with his black & white 'video' compilation, as he was in the same generation as Laurel & Hardy, and the only film I watched with Durante in it was the Laurel & Hardy 1934 film called Hollywood Party, in which Durante played himself and the character Schnarzan as a parody of Tarzan.
DeleteAny chance you can upload the 1994 Christmas edition of totp2 please on here?
DeleteCan somebody repost this please, does not seem to have been available for 3 days! Thanks so much
DeleteChart rundown - Salt 'n' Pepa missed out on a showing this week on TOTP with a new entry and peak position at No. 23 with Champagne. They can consider themselves unlucky not to get shown, especially as this was their first single in two years since November 1994, so hardly a welcome back.
ReplyDeleteAlso on the chart rundown with peak positions this week were The Shamen at No.35 with Move Any Mountain '96, and outside the Top 40 at peak was Roy Chubby Brown at No.51 with his Christmas single called Rockin' Good Christmas.
