An interesting occurrence this week, in that there were two new entries at peak position further down the charts for two ladies who originally dueted on a 1979 single called No More Tears.
ReplyDelete20 years later to the month, they each charted separately here in October 1999, with BARBARA STREISAND new at No.26 dueting with Vince Gill with a song called If You Ever Leave Me, and DONNA SUMMER with a new entry at No.44 with I will Go With You (Con Te Partiro). Strange coincidence that!

ReplyDeleteI said few weeks back, wouldn't be sharing anymore episodes. After i was called an idiot on here.
ReplyDeleteIt's unfortunate that one individual can ruin it for everyone else, an all too common situation in today's world.....Are you allowed to name the source where you get these files from, it's a shame for people who truly love Top of the Pops, especially with episodes pulled back from re-runs because of certain DJs scandals etc, something that could easily be edited out, Take care!
DeleteI have full archive on hard drives, i am the source. All the yt uploads originate from me, albeit by others claiming ownership. I got the archive from the BBC archives online. No longer have account nor access. I have to remain anon for obvs reasons, tho other anons are here too.

ReplyDeleteAnd yes its shame one person has to ruin for everyone else. I've been a long time lurker of angelos site since it was first started and anonymous uploads have always been welcome and have filled in the many gaps we have had over the years.
Hopefully one day they will return but yes theres no excuse for verbal abuse in any form be it in person or online.
