DeleteNo surprise to see Prince as a new entry and at peak at No.10 this week with 1999. This song the first time round came out in 1983 and peaked at No.25 when Prince was not yet a household name until When Doves Cry made Top 5 in 1984, and then 1999 on re-release as a double A-Side with Little Red Corvette in January 1985 made it to No.2 which is when I first remember hearing it and following it in the charts.
