(2) WILL SMITH – Just The Two Of Us (via satellite)

(1) SPICE GIRLS – Viva Forever (via satellite) (and credits)
First of two weeks at number one.
Will Smith - will we ever see him come to the TOTP studio? Since first charting in 1990 as DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince before going solo as Will Smith in 1997, with all the singles to date, I don't think he has preformed in the TOTP studio, but instead only videos, and live by satellite introduction to his singles. Hopefully he'll change his mind and come over the studio like some of his American peers.
ReplyDeleteChart rundown - I spotted Aqua as a new entry at No.6 this week, and surprisingly not on the show, apart from on the chart rundown, considering they appeared in the TOTP studio many times since Barbie Girl. Still, it enabled a new entry at No.25 to get a slot this week on the show in The Supernaturals with their new entry.
At peak further down the charts this week at no.78 was Frank Sinatra with My Way, a single dating back to the 1950's and re-released now around 40 years later in 1998 with only a No.78 achievement this time round, considering its iconic place in music history.
