  2. I did like sexy newcomer Hinda Hicks, although at first I thought it was Linda spelled wrongly, but no, Hinda is her name. Gorgeous dress on her.

Sash! featuring Tina Cousins - wow this was good, and deservedly a new entry at No.2. Really like Tina's input into this tune, as well as the gorgeous silver dress that just made this show fabulous on its own.

Then as a total surprise to introduce Boyzone at No.1 was the great Jim Steinman (thanks for the above photo Angelo), but instead of Meat Loaf with him, it was Andrew Lloyd Webber on the piano for Boyzone.

Any Meat Loaf fans will remember it was Steinman himself on piano on the early Meat Loaf videos on the Bat Out Of Hell album, especially at the beginning of the Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad video, although you don't see his face, but only his hands on the piano, although a young thin Steinman does appear quite a bit in the second half of the video behind Meat:

Although Meat Loaf performed many times in the TOTP studio in the 90s, this was the first time that Jim Steinman came to the TOTP studio, and I must say I never knew that until this repeat in 2025, as I never watched the original TOTP show in 1998.
