(1) RUN D.M.C. versus JASON NEVINS – It’s Like That (video) (and credits)
Fourth of six weeks at number one.
Sash! back in the TOTP studio this week, with the same format, but just different tank tops on the girls. I still believe in the merits of waiting two weeks before coming back on the show, so that other groups lower down the charts could get onto the show, but since the show threw away the old format of not having a group back the following week unless if at No.1, we were only really getting a Top 20 show.
ReplyDeleteThis was reflected in the chart rundown being limited to the Top 20 only, so as this was the current preference of the show, they would have to re-invite groups the following week to fill the 30 minutes limit of the show. I personally prefer the original format as a Top 30 show and chart rundown which was the 70s format, and you would then see bands in the No.20 to No.30 range which could then climb up to the Top 10 after appearing on the show to gain new fans.
For some strange reason I always thought Savage Garden got to number one.
