Hi Anonymous! First one on again with my request! Thanks Angelo for the new page. This week I'm after 6 mid to late 80's shows that BBC4 edited. They are 11/04/85, 29/08/85, 24/04/86, 25/12/86, 3/03/88 and 22/09/88. Cheers!

There are some issues with the TVS Archive Javier and most if not all of the archive is currently unavailable. The master copy of "Number 73" from 16/01/82 is held in the BFI National Archive. The other requests are available now.
Hi xrayfour, I would really appreciate if you had any of the following. I've been looking for them for years and would be great to know they even exist. Many thanks Look! Hear! 29 January 1980 1st January 1983 Saturday Show ITV Swap Shop 15 March 1980 Magpie 16th (or 20th) November 1979 (with Madness) Pop Quiz 17 April 1982
Hi Jack, This is a little complicated but here goes!
Both of the "Magpie" editions are wiped.
You were looking for two editions of "Swap Shop" earlier from 1979. Again both are wiped. The Selecter's performance of "On My Radio" was repeated on the "Multi-Coloured Music Show" from 05/05/80.
"Swap Shop" from 15/03/80 exists but we don't have it. It may be available at a later date.
Some editions of "The Saturday Show" are available. I don't see any show listed for 01/01/83. The Beat, Suzi Quatro, Thin Lizzy and The Thompson Twins are on available editions we have from around that time. This may be of interest to Javier!
"Look! Hear!" from 29/01/80 exists only as an off-air domestic recording and we don't have it. The Selecter's performance of "Too Much Pressure" from that show was chosen as the most memorable moment of the series and got a repeat on the 04/03/80 edition as the credits were rolling.
The shows below are available now!
Pop Quiz 17/04/82 Look! Hear! 04/03/80 Multi-Coloured Music Show 05/05/80
Thanks so much Xrayfour for the shows (got them now) and all the information. I had feared that some of those ones had been wiped and good to finally know either way. I think I had got "The Saturday Show" 1/1/83 information from the much missed ITN Source website a few years ago. Many thanks again, really appreciated.
Wonderful archive. Would anyone have these shows please? Russell Harty Plus - Show 5 (05/08/73). Open Night - Episode 38 (15/07/73). Crackerjack (10/01/1975) Music Video Show. No.16 (1976)
Russell Harty Plus from 05/08/73 is not available. Wizzard's performance from the show was repeated on "Harty Plus Pop" from 19/01/74. I can upload this if required.
No "Open Night" shows are available. The series may not be digitized.
I can't find any "Music Video Shows" What channel were they on?
Thanks, i've got the Harty Plus Pop. "Open Night" was LWT but i guess not digitized as you say. Music Video shows were ITV networked. The BFI have some but not sure if LWT have them.
Hi xrayfour, (hopefully better luck this week) do you have Cheggers Plays Pop (other than recently shared ones) please? Is it easier for you to put a folder for this instead of making multipe requests for the same programme (as it's kinda busy here recently)? If so (and it's ok with you), yes please. Thanks very much :)
Hi xrayfour, thanks for the link (er yeah, there's a fair few there to choose from) can I request S1 1 (10/4/78), S1 3 (24-4-78), S2 1 (2-4-79), S2 4 (23-4-79), S4 8/XMAS (30-12-81) if that's ok and you have them (none are listed as missing). No hurry, just when you can please. Thanks again :)
Just wondering if anyone can fill, some late 90s TOTPS i'm mising. Off air or VT, anything is better than nothing.Thanks: 4-7-97 8-8-97 19-9-97 7-11-97 5-12-97 6-2-98 19-6-98 4-9-98 4-6-99 26-8-99
Here you go. Giving back thanks to Anonymous original posts. Although i have a suspicion his upload is a lot faster than mine ;) https://we.tl/t-84RxJxNYFb
Hi Anonymous! I see it's a bit busier on here again! Anyway, here's my request for this week. They're all from 1981 and are 8/01, 26/02, 12/03, 9/04, 17/09 and 19/11. Also could you put up the upgrade for 11/10/79, please? Cheers!
TOTP request time again. I only have very poor VHS versions of these episodes. Has anyone (looking hopefully towards Anonymous) got any better quality/vt versions of the following: 23-3-95 6-6-96 16-5-97 14-11-97 12-12-97 19-12-97 24-4-98 8-5-98 26-2-99 9-4-99 30-4-99 Many thanks.

Get Set For Summer 15/05/82 is wiped. The Bob Hope show was made for ITV by Thames and is unavailable. Around 35 editions of "The Word" are available but not the final one from 24/03/1995[not 1994]. We have no "National Lottery Draws". I don't see a "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" listed for 14/01/2000. "Get Set For Summer" 08/08/81 and "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" 23/04/2001 are available now.
Hi xrayfour This is my weekly request: Central Saturday Show - Saturday 7th April 1984 C4 Switch - Friday 1st July 1983 TVS The Tube Return Ticket - Saturday 30th June 1984 C4 The Tube - Friday 20th April 1984 Sight and Sound In Concert - BBC Two England, 19 February 1983 Pebble Mill at One - BBC One London, 4 December 1984
No rush (I see you have lots of requests)...Thanks in advance
Only one show available Javier. Some "Saturday Shows" are available but not the one you are after. The BFI have "Switch" from 01/07/83. There are some problems with the TVS Archive and it's currently unavailable. "The Tube" on 20/04/84 was an end of series compilation. Only the live shows are available. "Pebble Mill" from 04/12/84 is wiped. Only the "Sight & Sound" show is available. Sorry!
Thanks a lot xrayfour for the fantastic Sight & Sound episode. Great job.
In a recent reply to Jack Slade you commented about one edition of The Saturday Show with Thompson Twins. Which one is it?
Finally, I would like to ask you about the availability of these shows: C4 Whatever You Didn’t Get C4 Whatever You Want C4 The Other Side Of The Tracks
Im looking for the 1988 BBC2 programme called That Was Then This is Now, featuring Pet Shop Boys. It was produced by Janet Street Porter and was part of a series from DEF 2 on BBC2.
Also looking for the Liza/Pet Shop Boys episode of Wogan from 1989 if available?
Finally, are there any other programmes in the archive that feature Pet Shop Boys, apart from TOTP?
If you've time I'd really appreciate if you could make any of the following available:
Riverside 08/02/82 Riverside 06/12/82 The Saturday Show 13/11/82 Get Set for Summer 11/07/81 Bad Manners at No Nukes Festival in Holland 1982 (it was shown on LWT on 5/11/83 as well as on Dutch TV a few times)
Many thanks, your generosity is really appreciated.
Riverside from 06/12/82 is missing. It's not listed as wiped. The archive copy of 13/12/82 is VHS only so looks like there is a problem. You are unlucky with The Saturday Show from 13/11/82. It was Show 3 and not available. Shows 2 and 4 are available. I can't find anything from the No Nukes Festival in 1982. I did find footage of Bad Manners locked in a cage on Tiswas in 1981. "Riverside" 08/02/82 and "Get Set For Summer" 11/07/81 are available now.
Is this available at all please? The full clip was available for selection but didn't get enough votes on the night. Mary Hopkin - Those Were The Days (TOTP Xmas 68)
I was intrigued by the mention of The Word earlier on up the page and was wondering if any of these episodes (or at least the musical performances) from series 3 and 4 can be shared if possible (no rush!):
Most of the shows available are from Series One and Two (33). The other two are from Series Five. I've uploaded a 10 part "Best Of The Word" Series from 1999. Some of the performances you are after may be there.
If either of the two available from series 5 are the the follow I would be grateful for an upload: S05E03 (09/12/1994) S05E04 (16/12/1994) S05E06 (06/01/1995) S05E07 (13/01/1995) S05E10 (03/02/1995) S05E14 (03/03/1995)
I missed your earlier post Javier. The Channel 4 archive is not in good shape. 21 "Whatever You Want / Didn't Get" shows were made. One show is wiped and all 20 surviving master copies are held at the BFI. 6 "Other Side Of The Tracks" were made. The first two editions are held at the BFI and the other four are wiped. The Thompson Twins were on the 05/02/83 edition of "The Saturday Show". It's available now. Have you got any more "Na Sowas" shows?
Thanks again for the info and the Saturday Show episode.

I have too the compilation DVDs from rutracker.
And I know a great german trader who has all Na Sowas shows, so if you are interested in any particular episode, just tell me.
No, I've not got them. Most of the 1983 Supersonic performances apart from "Air Supply" are on You Tube. The quality is not great on some of the clips.
Hi, does anyone have any good quality Falco live concerts from 85/86? BBC2 showed a live concert in 86 which I think was about 30 mins long? Also looking for good quality footage from the ‘87 Emotional tour if anyone knows of anything?
Bit of a long shot if Anonymous has them in his archive..
Theres a couple of studio performances that were pre-recorded but never shown on TOTP due to various reasons..so I was wondering if they were placed at the end of the studio tape like some have been over the years? Like I said..its a bit of a long shot but these are the two I would love to see..
Phil Collins "Do You Remember?" which was released November 1990 so would had been recorded around that time period for the show. The song failed in the charts so the performance was never aired.
And Kylie Minogue "What Do I Have To Do" which was released Jan 1991. The video was shown on the 31/1/91 edition but she apparently did record a studio version but it was never shown due to some logos worn that resembled the CND which were deemed unsuitable at the time due to the Gulf War which had just began.
Like I said..bit of a long shot as they may have never even been saved to the archives but would be interesting to see them both if they exist! Many thanks for any help in finding them!
Hi Wayne, We checked all archive TOTP's from the beginning of October 1990 to the end of March 1991. There are no Phil Collins or Kylie outtakes on any of the shows. Sorry!
Hi Anonymous! Hope you and xrayfour have had a good week. Here's my weekly request. I'm after 9/06/77, 11/08/77, 15/02/80, 20/03/80, 10/04/80 and 1/05/80. Cheers!
I'd really appreciate if any of the following were/could be made available: 27/02/80 British Rock & Pop Awards 14/02/81 Saturday Shake Up (Tyne Tees) 20/10/81 Harty (if Madness were on it) 11/01/82 Riverside 13/05/83 Switch (Channel 4) 27/10/84 London Calling (Central) 03/11/85 London Calling (Central)
Thanks again for all your searching; these are programmes I've been searching for, for many years.
There is some confusion with the "Saturday Shake-Up" transmission dates. 14/02/81 is not in the archive. 21/02/81 is there but this edition is also listed as wiped. Who was on the 14/02/81 show? We don't have the 20/10/81 edition of "Harty". The guests listed are Trevor Eve and Elizabeth Quinn. "Switch" from 13/05/83 is wiped. All other masters are held at the BFI. Have you any off-air "Switch" recordings? I cannot find any of the "London Calling" shows. The "British Rock & Pop Awards 1980" and "Riverside 1982" are available now.
Thanks so much xrayfour for the uploads and for checking things out. I only have a couple of band performances from Switch (Fun Boy Three and The Special AKA), not the full shows I'm afraid. Madness are listed on the tvpopdiaries website as appearing on that Saturday Shake-Up although as with Harty, the information may be incorrect. Many thanks again

ReplyDeleteHi xrayfour,
ReplyDeleteI would really appreciate if you had any of the following. I've been looking for them for years and would be great to know they even exist. Many thanks
Look! Hear! 29 January 1980
1st January 1983 Saturday Show ITV
Swap Shop 15 March 1980
Magpie 16th (or 20th) November 1979 (with Madness)
Pop Quiz 17 April 1982
Hi Jack,
DeleteThis is a little complicated but here goes!
Pop Quiz 17/04/82
Look! Hear! 04/03/80
Multi-Coloured Music Show 05/05/80
Thanks so much Xrayfour for the shows (got them now) and all the information. I had feared that some of those ones had been wiped and good to finally know either way. I think I had got "The Saturday Show" 1/1/83 information from the much missed ITN Source website a few years ago. Many thanks again, really appreciated.
DeleteHi xrayfour,
ReplyDeleteI just saw the page here. This is great! I was wondering if this show is available:
Old Grey Whistle Test 21/1/82 ?
And is your Madness folder available as well as your XR4 link?
Many thanks in advance for your help and kindness.
Yes, both are available now.
DeleteXrayfour,
ReplyDeleteHow do I find the link?
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI just received the link. Again, many thanks for your kindness.

ReplyDeleteRussell Harty Plus - Show 5 (05/08/73).
Open Night - Episode 38 (15/07/73).
Crackerjack (10/01/1975)
Music Video Show. No.16 (1976)
Wow, that is great. Many thanks.
DeleteRussell Harty Plus from 05/08/73 is not available. Wizzard's performance from the show was repeated on "Harty Plus Pop" from 19/01/74. I can upload this if required.
DeleteNo "Open Night" shows are available.
The series may not be digitized.
I can't find any "Music Video Shows"
What channel were they on?
Thanks, i've got the Harty Plus Pop. "Open Night" was LWT but i guess not digitized as you say. Music Video shows were ITV networked. The BFI have some but not sure if LWT have them.

Thanks in advance.

Ok xrayfour Thanks for letting me know.
DeleteHi xrayfour, (hopefully better luck this week) do you have Cheggers Plays Pop (other than recently shared ones) please?
ReplyDeleteIs it easier for you to put a folder for this instead of making multipe requests for the same programme (as it's kinda busy here recently)? If so (and it's ok with you), yes please.
Thanks very much :)
There are lots of Cheggers Dave. Might be best to take a look here and choose some. A few shows are missing:
Deletehttp://nostalgicmusictv.x10host.com/cheggers.htm

We have no "National Lottery Draws".
I don't see a "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" listed for 14/01/2000.
"Get Set For Summer" 08/08/81 and "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" 23/04/2001 are available now.

We only have Reel One of Swap Shop from 05/11/77. Most of the show is on You Tube:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uTR_7kD2wk
Swap Of The Pops from 24/12/77 exists only as an off-air domestic recording and we don't have it.
The other requests are available now in a Folder.
Only one show available Javier.
ReplyDeleteSome "Saturday Shows" are available but not the one you are after.
Great job.
DeleteIn a recent reply to Jack Slade you commented about one edition of The Saturday Show with Thompson Twins. Which one is it?
Finally, I would like to ask you about the availability of these shows:
C4 Whatever You Didn’t Get
C4 Whatever You Want
C4 The Other Side Of The Tracks
We only have "Reel 2 of 2" from 10/11/79.
ReplyDeleteReel 1 is not listed as wiped or missing but I'm not sure if there is an archive copy of it.
Hi Anonymous or Xrayfour,
ReplyDeleteIm looking for the 1988 BBC2 programme called That Was Then This is Now, featuring Pet Shop Boys.
Many thanks!
None of the above are currently available KDX. I've uploaded Pet Shop Boys Folder. Some of the shows were posted before but most are new.
DeleteOh wow! That’s fantastic! Thank you so much! I’ll let you know here once I’ve downloaded them! Really appreciate it - many thanks for the effort!!

Many thanks, your generosity is really appreciated.
Riverside from 06/12/82 is missing. It's not listed as wiped. The archive copy of 13/12/82 is VHS only so looks like there is a problem.
DeleteYou are unlucky with The Saturday Show from 13/11/82.
Thanks a million xrayfour, great to finally see that Get Set for Summer episode. I have that Tiswas episode you mentioned, Cheers.

DeleteNo, I've not got them. Most of the 1983 Supersonic performances apart from "Air Supply" are on You Tube. The quality is not great on some of the clips.
DeleteHi, does anyone have any good quality Falco live concerts from 85/86? BBC2 showed a live concert in 86 which I think was about 30 mins long? Also looking for good quality footage from the ‘87 Emotional tour if anyone knows of anything?
ReplyDeleteThanks for any help guys!
"Late Night In Concert" with Falco [BBC 21/11/87] is available now.
DeleteWow!!! I can’t believe it - thank you so much xrayfour!!
DeleteAll of a sudden I’m 15 years old again and secretly staying up late to watch Falco - my first musical obsession!!
Many thanks for this 👍😉
Bit of a long shot if Anonymous has them in his archive..
ReplyDeleteTheres a couple of studio performances that were pre-recorded but never shown on TOTP due to various reasons..so I was wondering if they were placed at the end of the studio tape like some have been over the years?
Hi Wayne,
DeleteWe checked all archive TOTP's from the beginning of October 1990 to the end of March 1991. There are no Phil Collins or Kylie outtakes on any of the shows. Sorry!
Ahh that's a shame! Thanks for looking though!

DeleteAnybody Have TOTP From 9/6/88
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous! Hope you and xrayfour have had a good week. Here's my weekly request. I'm after 9/06/77, 11/08/77, 15/02/80, 20/03/80, 10/04/80 and 1/05/80. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi brie,
DeleteThe folder is in the usual place.
Thanks as usual, mate. Got 'em all. Great stuff. See ya next week!
DeleteAnybody H Top Of The Pops from 9/6/88.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: 8/6/83
DeleteTOTP 08/06/83 and 09/06/88 are available now.
DeleteHi xrayfour and Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI'd really appreciate if any of the following were/could be made available:
27/02/80 British Rock & Pop Awards
14/02/81 Saturday Shake Up (Tyne Tees)
20/10/81 Harty (if Madness were on it)
11/01/82 Riverside
13/05/83 Switch (Channel 4)
27/10/84 London Calling (Central)
03/11/85 London Calling (Central)
Thanks again for all your searching; these are programmes I've been searching for, for many years.
There is some confusion with the "Saturday Shake-Up" transmission dates. 14/02/81 is not in the archive. 21/02/81 is there but this edition is also listed as wiped. Who was on the 14/02/81 show?
DeleteWe don't have the 20/10/81 edition of "Harty".
DeleteHi xrayfour,
ReplyDeleteHave you got Late Night In Concert: INXS
Was shown on BBC1 06/02/1986 then repeated on 26/07/86.
Yes, available now.
