    Look! Hear! 29 January 1980
1st January 1983 Saturday Show ITV
    Swap Shop 15 March 1980

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Jack,
This is a little complicated but here goes!

Both of the "Magpie" editions are wiped.

You were looking for two editions of "Swap Shop" earlier from 1979. Again both are wiped. The Selecter's performance of "On My Radio" was repeated on the "Multi-Coloured Music Show" from 05/05/80.

"Swap Shop" from 15/03/80 exists but we don't have it. It may be available at a later date.

Some editions of "The Saturday Show" are available. I don't see any show listed for 01/01/83. The Beat, Suzi Quatro, Thin Lizzy and The Thompson Twins are on available editions we have from around that time. This may be of interest to Javier!

"Look! Hear!" from 29/01/80 exists only as an off-air domestic recording and we don't have it. The Selecter's performance of "Too Much Pressure" from that show was chosen as the most memorable moment of the series and got a repeat on the 04/03/80 edition as the credits were rolling.

The shows below are available now!

      Pop Quiz 17/04/82
      Look! Hear! 04/03/80
      Multi-Coloured Music Show 05/05/80

      Delete
    2. Thanks so much Xrayfour for the shows (got them now) and all the information. I had feared that some of those ones had been wiped and good to finally know either way. I think I had got "The Saturday Show" 1/1/83 information from the much missed ITN Source website a few years ago. Many thanks again, really appreciated.

Around 35 editions of "The Word" are available but not the final one from 24/03/1995[not 1994].
We have no "National Lottery Draws".
I don't see a "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" listed for 14/01/2000.

  55. Hi Anonymous or Xrayfour,

Im looking for the 1988 BBC2 programme called That Was Then This is Now, featuring Pet Shop Boys. It was produced by Janet Street Porter and was part of a series from DEF 2 on BBC2.

Also looking for the Liza/Pet Shop Boys episode of Wogan from 1989 if available?

Finally, are there any other programmes in the archive that feature Pet Shop Boys, apart from TOTP?

    Many thanks!

  75. Bit of a long shot if Anonymous has them in his archive..

Theres a couple of studio performances that were pre-recorded but never shown on TOTP due to various reasons..so I was wondering if they were placed at the end of the studio tape like some have been over the years? Like I said..its a bit of a long shot but these are the two I would love to see..

Phil Collins "Do You Remember?" which was released November 1990 so would had been recorded around that time period for the show. The song failed in the charts so the performance was never aired.

And Kylie Minogue "What Do I Have To Do" which was released Jan 1991. The video was shown on the 31/1/91 edition but she apparently did record a studio version but it was never shown due to some logos worn that resembled the CND which were deemed unsuitable at the time due to the Gulf War which had just began.

Like I said..bit of a long shot as they may have never even been saved to the archives but would be interesting to see them both if they exist! Many thanks for any help in finding them!
