In the studio with their fifth of eleven top ten hits but it could get no higher.

Fifth of seven weeks at number one.

  1. Sash! feat Shannon - not much liking for this tune, but this is the same Shannon who had her own solo single in 1983 with Let The Music Play which got to No.14 but never featured on TOTP at the time. Let The Music Play was one of the standout 80s tracks for any dancefloor:

    Chart rundown - check out the Mike Koglin video at No.20 called The Silence. It is actually a sampling of Depeche Mode's 1990 single called Enjoy The Silence, but with the Enjoy dropped off the single title, and worth a watch, as this tune was spruced up for 1998 quite well:

    Further down the chart at No.86 was a new entry and peak position for Dolly Parton with Peace Train. Parton had her last Top 75 single in 1994.
