    1. Darts - I think this is the only chart single where lead vocals are given to Bob Fish which is a pity, considering he had the best singing voice in the group. This was their highest charting single along with It's Raining and Boy From New York City.

Earth Wind & Fire - with or without Legs & Co on this, it just has this hypnotic effect on the music listener which takes in the glory of the disco years of the late 70s, and still love it to this day as my second favourite single of theirs after Boogie Wonderland.

Andy Williams - Good Lord, this was just Brilliant in its composition, even though the song title was called Sad.

    2. Some humorous facial expressions from Noel in addition to the puns. He only had a few more to present through 1978 before moving on to other TV, starting with 'Noel Edmonds Lucky Numbers' in late '78 and early '79, which is one of the earliest TV shows I can remember.
Great songs and love the sparkly, floral sets. Being '78 it was probably all changed about 10 mins after the end credit lights finished swirling around but for me this is an absolute heyday for the show.
Many highlights; Perfect song to soundtrack the top 30, Nick Lowe cool and assured with 'I Love The Sound of Breaking Glass'.
Legs and Co were given the challenging task of trying to summon a fantastical realm on platforms used for painting and decorating. An intriguing contrast to the dazzle though the girls make up for it with some exotic costumes and some up close swaying. Rather impassioned they are, especially Gill who swishes her hair ecstatically.
Samantha Sang cracked me up once again with her three selves miming the parts of the Bee Gees. Did that really get past everyone in the video's editing suite? Surely someone must've thought, not sure that works. Fine single though.
'Wuthering Heights' a classic performance and tailor made for the circus hall of evergreen plants though i still think the flawed 1st performance is more compelling.

    3. The platforms on the Legs & Co performance was similar to those used by the Supersonic pop show on ITV in 1975-76 where visiting pop groups had to position themselves and their instruments in those squares.

  2. Geri Halliwell - have already said this and will say it again - Geri is just superb, not only in singing but also in entertaining.

The Happy Mondays - when they evolved into Black Grape in the 1995-1998 period with seven singles, I though that was it for The Happy Mondays, so I was surprised to see them back as The Happy Mondays in 1999 with their first appearance on TOTP since 1992 as the TOTP presenter mentioned, but as Angelo mentions, this was their final Top 40 hit, even though the single sounded like it was a cross between Thin Lizzy and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The group member with the top hat looked liked he needed the toilet badly, just by the way he was jumping up and down on stage.

  3. Good episode.

A repeat of Geri's previous performance, still wonderful to see.

Forgot about that Duane Harden track. I used to like that little funk/disco revival back then and it seems I still do now. Great to hear it again after all those years, makes me happy.

Happy Mondays ... They were good in the early 90s, but this was utter crap.
